Homegrown is an annual music festival celebrating original music from Upstate South Carolina. The festival, now in its fourth year, showcases musicians performing their own compositions and sharing the stories and inspirations behind their creative process.

When: Friday, March 14, 2025, at 7 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)
Where: The Capitol Theater, 104 East Main St., Laurens, SC 29360​​

We are currently accepting performer applications until January 31, 2025. Applicants will be informed of their status by February 3, 2025, and the lineup will be announced on February 7, 2025.

Prizes

• $100 Cash: All performers selected to perform at Homegrown will receive $100 in cash on the night of their performance.

​

• $300 Gift Certificate: After each performance, audience applause will be measured with a decibel meter. The performer with the highest decibel rating for the night will receive a $300 gift certificate to Newell’s Music.

​

• $1,000 Grand Prize: Each ticket holder will receive five paper tickets upon entry to the event. Each performer will have a jar with their name on it, and ticket holders can place their tickets in the jars of the performers who resonated with them the most. Tickets can be divided among performers or placed all in one jar. At the end of the night, the performer with the most tickets will receive a grand prize of $1,000.
